Mummy Pig has officially given birth to a baby girl named Evie Pig, and fans of the animated show will soon get to meet her.

Evie’s birth was announced during a segment on Good Morning Britain, where it was confirmed that Mummy Pig gave birth at 05:34 UK time (06:34 SAST) at the Lindo Wing in London — a famous maternity ward also known for welcoming real-life royal babies.
Mummy Pig is currently recovering, but the family is filled with joy.
“Mummy and Daddy Pig are looking forward to lots of happy snorts and sleepless nights,” the show’s spokesperson shared during the announcement.
A new chapter for the Peppa Pig family
For two decades, viewers have followed the daily life of Peppa, her younger brother George, and their parents Mummy and Daddy Pig. Since the show started airing in 2004, this has been the core family setup.
But in February 2025, fans were surprised to learn that Mummy Pig was pregnant again.
Actress Morwenna Banks, who voices Mummy Pig, first shared the news in a February interview.
“I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger because we’re having another baby,” she said.
“I’m due in the summer, and we’re all so excited.”
By April, the show revealed that the new baby would be a girl. Now, with Evie safely born, excitement is growing around how she will fit into the well-loved storyline.
The show’s creators said Evie Pig’s name was chosen in honour of Mummy Pig’s aunt, giving it a special personal touch.
When will Evie Pig appear on screen?
Although the news of Evie’s arrival is still fresh, fans won’t have to wait too long to meet her. Evie Pig will make her debut in a cinema special titled Peppa Meets The Baby, set to release in theatres on 30 May 2025.
This hour-long episode will be the first time audiences see Evie on screen.
Later in the year, she will be introduced into the regular episodes of Peppa Pig, with her first television appearance expected in spring 2025.
