According to reports, authorities from the Seoul Seongdong Police Precinct confirmed that they received a report from a friend who became concerned after Kim failed to show up for a scheduled meeting.
When officers arrived at her residence in the Seongdong District, they found her unresponsive.

Kim Sae-ron was born on 31 July 2000, and began her acting career at the age of nine.
She gained widespread recognition as a child actress with her roles in A Brand New Life (2009) and The Man From Nowhere (2010), both of which received critical acclaim.
Her role in A Brand New Life took her to the Cannes Film Festival, making her the youngest South Korean actress to be invited to the prestigious event.
As she transitioned into her teenage years, she took on more mature roles, notably in A Girl at My Door (2014), where she portrayed a victim of abuse.
