Rocking the Daisies (RTD) has officially kicked off its 2025 festival campaign with the announcement of its first major headliner: Summer Walker.

The American R&B singer-songwriter, known for hits like Girls Need Love and Playing Games, is set to take the stage, marking her first South African festival performance.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, with RTD sharing the news across social media.

“IT’S HAPPENING! Lover Girls/Boys, this is the moment! [SUMMER WALKER] is headlining Rocking the Daisies 2025. You’ve streamed the albums, cried to the lyrics, and now it’s time to experience it LIVE,” the festival organisers posted.

As in previous years, additional headliners and supporting acts are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Rocking the Daisies has a history of bringing international and local talent to its stages, with past headliners including Stormzy, Snoh Aalegra and Kehlani.

Rocking the Daisies festival dates for 2025

The 2025 edition of Rocking the Daisies marks the festival’s 20th anniversary and promises an expanded experience across music, fashion, food, and wellness activities.

This year, the festival is confirmed to take place at the Cloof Wine Estate from Thursday, 2 until Sunday, 5 October 2025—a tradition for RTD.

As the event approaches, organisers are expected to release further details about the lineup, festival activities, and venue specifics.

How to buy tickets to Rocking the Daisies in 2025

Tickets for Rocking the Daisies 2025 are currently on sale, with discounted Phase 1 festival and camping passes available until 25 April 2025.

Important camping information:

  • Priority Camping: Offers additional amenities such as more toilets, showers, and power-equipped change rooms. Tents must not exceed 3x3m, and festival-goers must bring their own tents.
  • Wildflower Camping: A dedicated space for women and LGBTQIA+ attendees, featuring extra security, showers, and toilets. Tents cannot exceed 3x3m, and attendees must bring their own tents.

As with previous years, passes will be released in phases, with prices expected to increase as the event date approaches.
