This year’s Comic Con Cape Town, set to run from 1 to 4 May at CTICC 2, boasts a robust lineup of international guests from across the pop culture spectrum.
Confirmed guests coming to Comic Con Cape Town this year
American actor Michael Trucco, known for his work in Battlestar Galactica, The Big Bang Theory, and Fire Country, will make appearances on Saturday, 3 May and Sunday, 4 May 2025. Trucco is scheduled to engage in meet-and-greets, autograph sessions, and live Q&A panels on the Main Stage.
Other confirmed guests include international voice actor Zach Aguilar, who brings insight from the world of anime voice acting. Content creators Akidearest and The Anime Man, both widely known in the anime YouTube community, are also attending.
Cosplay fans can look forward to seeing international talents Yuji Koi and Mayo, who are participating in exclusive panels and photo sessions.
The comic book industry is also well-represented. Artist Alley will host award-winning comic book artist Adam Kubert, alongside Jim Cheung, Laura Braga, Stephanie Lavaud, and writer-editor Rob Levin — each offering fans a chance to connect with the creative minds behind some of their favourite comics.
What to expect from this year’s Comic Con event
Comic Con Cape Town 2025 promises four days of immersive entertainment tailored for pop culture lovers, artists, families, and cosplay enthusiasts.
The festival will feature over 120 local and international comic creators, a dedicated Artist Alley, and opportunities for fans to purchase original work or get items signed.
Beyond comics, the event includes cosplay showcases, panel discussions, exclusive screenings, and merchandise stalls. Special attention is given to community engagement, with spaces designed for interactive fan experiences.
Cosplayers will be able to attend workshops and join themed competitions, while voice actors and YouTubers will share behind-the-scenes insights into anime production and content creation.
The event is also positioned as a family-friendly experience. Attractions such as the KidsCon area and open-floor gaming sections aim to welcome attendees of all ages.
Comic Con Cape Town continues to build on its growing popularity, with the City of Cape Town pledging support through to future editions.
Comic Con Cape Town 2025: Here’s the daily schedule
Comic Con Cape Town 2025 takes place over the Workers’ Day long weekend, from Thursday, 1 May to Sunday, 4 May 2025. The event will be held at CTICC 2, and doors will open from 10:00 to 19:00 daily.
Michael Trucco will appear on Saturday and Sunday, offering two days of engagement with fans.
While the full programme schedule has not yet been released, visitors can expect daily panels, artist spotlights, cosplay contests, and meet-and-greets with featured guests across all four days.
