Tsomo couple murdered execution-style in their homestead

Police are searching for three suspects after a couple was shot execution-style in their Tsomo homestead before the killers fled in a black VW Polo.

Police have launched a manhunt for three suspects involved in the killing of a married couple in Tsomo, Eastern Cape.

The victims, a 58-year-old man and his 64-year-old wife, were found dead inside their home on Thursday, 27 February 2025.

Authorities were alerted to the crime at around 18:00.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the couple lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators believe the attack was a targeted execution.

According to preliminary reports, three unidentified men arrived at the couple’s homestead, where they found the wife alone.

They allegedly forced her to call her husband. When he arrived, both victims were shot before the assailants fled in a black Volkswagen Polo with CA registration plates.

Police have not yet confirmed the motive behind the attack, and no arrests have been made.

A case of double murder has been opened as investigators work to track down the suspects.

Authorities are urging the public to assist with information that could lead to arrests.
