Greenstone Hill office park evacuated after bomb scare

SAPS' bomb squad was on the scene to determine the seriousness of the threat.

Businesses at the Greenstone Hill office park were forced to evacuate employees following a bomb scare that reported on Monday morning.

Was there a bomb at Greenstone Hill office park?

South African police and other emergency teams descended on the business district situated at Emerald Boulevard, in Eastleigh, Edenvale, GP, on Monday morning to assist with the evacuation process.

At this time, details around the bomb scare are murky and despite our best attempts, Swisher Post News was unable to reach the office park for comment on the latest updates.

From what we understand, however, a caller sent shockwaves when they claimed there was a bomb planted inside the gated office park.

At the time of publishing, search efforts were underway, led by the SAPS’ bomb squad, to determine the seriousness of the threat and ascertain whether an explosive device was, indeed, planted at the Edenvale business centre.

It remains unclear if workers will be allowed back inside the business district.
